Before his return to Nepal in autumn 1998 Tenga Rinpoche composed the following letter to his disciples:
To my dearest disciples,
as you all know I will return to Nepal on the 9th of November, 1998. I include all of you in my prayers and wish you all enduring happiness. May all of your wishes come true and may there be no difficulties in your Dharma practice.
During my recent visit to Europe, an association with the name ”Benchen Phuntsok Ling” was established under my guidance. Its purpose is to develop a centre and it is in the process of buying a farm in Belgium (near the German border, not far from Cologne). It has the goal of creating a permanent location for summer courses and a place where all of you could practice the Dharma throughout the year or for any length of time.
In the future, courses on general Buddhist themes are planned, oriented to varying individual interests including: the Gradual Path, the Four Preliminaries, the practice of the generation and completion stages of the Yidams, the Six Yogas of Naropa and the Path of Mahamudra. All these themes will be explored in depth, question and answer periods will help to achieve clarity, and of course you will have the opportunity for a personal interview.
This is a place of excellent benefit for oneself and others, and it will serve as my official centre (in Europe).
With Best Wishes and many Tashi Delegs, till very soon, Tenga Rinpoche 8/11/98
